10. CONCLUSION As Bradford MC considers the future development of Silsden, the voice of the people of Silsden must be considered. The consultation and questionnaire exercise has produced important results as follows:
Should major development occur around Silsden then the public bodies responsible for authorising such development have a responsibility to ensure the people of Silsden are suitably compensated with the provision of improved recreational facilities, such as a new public swimming pool. Conservation Areas in Silsden Grade I and 11* Listed Buildings Grade II Listed Buildings Appendix 2 TDS Consultation Silsden Enterprise and Action Team was set up in summer 2000 with a view to producing a Town In summer 2001 SEAT distributed a questionnaire to every household in Silsden. Approximately 3,600 questionnaires were sent out, of which data from 1154 returned questionnaires was used. The results were collated and analysed to build a picture for the TDS. The task of data inputting was completed in early 2003, which was followed by a 3 day exhibition of the results in May 2003. This exhibition resulted in additional information which was added to the TDS. The TDS was completed in spring 2004, following consultation with Bradford Metropolitan Council.
