i keep hearing & seeing 3 large birds of prey circling high above the town, towards the Nab. Can anyone confirm if these are Buzzards or if not, what they are?

I've watched them from the woods in the valley above the res, on the path from Meadmores across to the main road at cringles. My neighbour reckons they are youngish buzzards with chicks.

Yep, buzzards often seen soaring around top end of Silsden this year, usually on nice sunny days, you usually hear them crying before you see them

I'm no expert, but both species have made a remarkable recovery after years of persecution by game keepers, the red kite having been reintroduced to several areas. If you drive from Pool in Wharfedale to Harewood, you're virtually guaranteed to see several.
Great news that some have been seen around here.
