Why cannot the half hourly Ikley Service meet the Leeds Train, I've tried, but there isn't enough time to get to the bus stop. Metro tell me the bus is too large to run round the Turning circle at Steeton Station. Could it not run a few minutes later.

I hear some Skipton-Leeds bus services have been cut.Now why cant this bus service run Skipton-Silsden-Ilkley-Leeds giving a better service to both Skipton and (direct to) Leeds

Check out the bust times to Ilkley for connections. Mind you, on Saturday we just missed the Skipton train from Leeds. So, we got on a Bradford train, got off at Shipley and then got yhr Bradford train to Ilkley. As we walked out the Station the Keighley bus arrived so we got on for Silsden. As the bus left the train from Leeds arrived! So all those from Addingham would then have to wait for the next bus, joined up thinking.

There is now an extra bus from Ilkley that meets the train from Leeds around 5:30. Using a travel card gives the choice of taking the bus towards Keighley or Ilkley for an onward train.

Actually for Leeds it is easier to get the bus into Keighley and pick the Leeds train up there as the alternative is a long wait on Silsden station.

It is a pity that when the trunk road was built the satation was closed, otherwise access might have been built in rather than tagged on as is now the case.
