John Stanley Bell took the headship of Aireview in the mid sixties on the retirement of Edith Clark, the deputy head who had expected to succeed left suddenly. When HOTHFIELD ceased to be a secondary modern in its own right and subsequently ceased to be an annex of south craven, becoming a middle school, Mr. Bell became it's head.

Ah yes/ I remember Edith Clarke. It's a name I haven't heard in a long, long time. I remember her having a Morris Minor and lived on Taylor Avenue (I think).

Remember both Miss Clark, Who seemed very strict but we didn't see much of her only at assembly time. Stanley Bell Was a great head, always involved in School Life. Even visited me and other Aire view School children in Keighley Hospital in 1966.
