well if the media are right, the breweries are putting beer up 5p a pintsad :(sad :(sad :(,xmas & new years eve was just like a normal friday night out no crowds like they were before 2000 ,so which pub will this rise close down????sad :(sad :(sad :(

Instead of going to pub we stay at home drinking locally brewed beer.

Beer is already expensive in Silsden, having been to 3 diffrent areas in the past few weeks 2.60 to 2.80 is the normal price of bitter

If you bothered to read the article it was the likes of Heineken putting it up by 5p, not the small independent brewers.

Now who wants to drink Heineken or the many other mass produced designer products they products?

the piece in my paper said heineken sold in silsden who own john smiths beer since 2008,,,molson coors which has carling and DRAUGHT BEERS sold in most pubs round here.. and fosters strongbow and carsberg who own tetleys beers as well,,,its like the gas and electric etc etc etc the others will followrazz :p get to wetherspoons carling 2.19 a pinthappy :)

Exactly, if you must drink mass produced rubbish then expect to pay 5p more per pint in the future.

Time to move on and start home brewing again well worth the effort and you can not beat the smell of the hops barley and malt extract simmering away IF YOU CAN'T BEAT EM JOIN EMhappy :)happy :)happy :)
