Looks like we will see this

Next month large parts of the UK will be plunged into near darkness in the middle of the day during a solar eclipse.

The shadow will fall between on the sea between North West Scotland and Iceland and totality will be visible in the Faroe Islands for two minutes and two seconds.

The event is expected to occur on March 20, peaking at about 9.30am and lasting for 90 minutes.

Friday at 9.30 am it will be rather dark.

If you can see the eclipse, don't look directly at the sun without eye protection. Sun glasses are not dark enough to protect your eyes.

Just starting to dull up a bit now pity we cannot see anything!!

No doubt when it becomes really dark and gloomy we will still have those numpties driving around without their lights on!!!

Yesterday in the smog could not believe the number of drivers without lights!
Time the bizzies get to work!

Peter you obviously had your colander over your head. That was the safest way to see it.

Yes the sun did appear from the clouds for a short while then disappeared again!

Teach me to go all the way to Penzance!
