That's a disgrace Hillbilly. The crime rate seems to have gone up of late. We must have some low life's knocking around the place at the moment.

Sorry to hear this.
Hillbilly it may have been sold for scrap, but if it was of more value? Try looking on e-bay or gumtree etc

Just how low can some people get... as quoted by Mr. Hillbilly.

Not much lower I would suggest. How awful for you both to discover that. Something precious to parents memory. Put a sign up on the entry asking the low life to return said item, with a few choice words for added good measure.

Sorry to say Hillbilly but there are a lot of scumbags about. My daughters partner is a paramedic and last week one of his workmates had her handbag stolen from the ambulance while she was attending to a patient.

Was always thus. Ancient Egyptian tombs were built to keep out grave robbers.

Fortunately we are not living in ancient times, the human race should have come a long way since then. Surely our sense of right and wrong should be foremost in this day and age, but then in ancient and not so ancient times they would have had their fingers chopped off.

Natural selection takes tens, if not hundreds of thousands of years for differences to show. Four thousand years is nothing. The proportion of any population likely to perform badly is likely to be much the same today as in ancient Egypt.
Law and order only controls the situation. It changes nothing. If punishment worked crime should be no more.

The problem is; that we do not have a justice system, what we do have is legal system; that only serves to give large amounts of money to those that "work" in it.

It is the punishment system that needs sorting. For example is jailing geriatric perverts the best solution?
