An assistant gastro-pub manager has been charged with torching a sister pub in the same village.
he appeared in court accused with arson of The Fleece pub in Addingham on Wednesday morning.
an assistant manager at The Craven Heifer in the village was remanded in custody at Bradford Magistratesí Court.
He will next appear at Bradford Crown Court on October 8.
Fire broke out at The Fleece Pub about 4am yesterday.
Firefighters pulled the two male employees to safety from the burning building.
The rescued men were treated by ambulance staff for smoke inhalation before being taken to hospital.
In total, six pumps and an aerial platform from Silsden, Ilkley, Skipton and surrounding stations attended the fire, which involved 60 per cent of the building over two floors.
The Fleece is one of the pubs owned by The Well Fed Pub company, which also owns The Craven Heifer.

A disgruntled barman has admitted torching a gastro-pub after he was sacked.

Leigh Meeks, 33, set fire to The Fleece Pub, Addingham, after losing his job its sister eatery in the same village.

At Bradford Crown Court he pleaded guilty to arson and being reckless as to whether life was endangered, but denied arson with intent to endanger life on 23rd September.
