PLEASE NOTE
This will not be a hypothetical debate about how much we will lose or gain financially, but an explanation of how the EU operates.

The above should be a very interesting.

You may also find the documentary by Jeremy Paxman on the subject interesting:

Makes no odds to me, I voted in the postal vote.

How can you have a clear picture of the workings of the EU, when the person delivering it has a vested interest?

I have never heard of, or seen this MEP.

Richard Corbett is one of 6 MEPs who represent Yorkshire and the Humber including 2 Conservative (Timothy Kirkhope and Amjad Bashir), 2 UKIP (Jane Collins and Mike Hookem) and 2 Labour (Richard Corbett and Linda McAvan). Richard has written a book on the subject and he is under strict instructions to speak purely about the apparatus of the EU and not about whether it is a good or bad thing. We will be having a chair who will ensure this is neutral and will have only factual information from Full Fact on display. Thanks

Hi again. Because we are trying just to provide some facts like explaining how Parliament works or how the voting system works rather than is it a good thing or a bad thing. There are two events locally (one in Keighley and one in Skipton) this week which are doing the traditional too and fro debate and we wanted to provide something different. Quite a lot of the time in these debates people make wild claims which the audience can't check. You are very welcome to come along and check that we are being impartial.
