The day started at a very early 5.15am. The local Arriva Train was strike bound, but four parents provided transport to Lancaster rail station.

Over a period of 5 days the group will walk from Fort William to Newtonmore, a distance of 66Km, carrying all their food and equipment.

This is serious walking conditions - it has been known for toothpaste and soap to freeze in the bags :)
