On Thursday, 28 March 2002 eight senior scouts and four leaders from 1st St James Silsden assembled in Wesley Square Car Park to start a 6 day adventure in the highlands of Scotland.
The day started at a very early 5.15am. The local Arriva Train was strike bound, but four parents provided transport to Lancaster rail station. Over a period of 5 days the group will walk from Fort William to Newtonmore, a distance of 66Km, carrying all their food and equipment. This is serious walking conditions - it has been known for toothpaste and soap to freeze in the bags :)
