Ah wish that tha'd tak gorm ah me

when tha wer twentyfive years owd

Ahm allus telling thee tha knows
doant wesh thi clothes sa oft.
When tha's possis am in't peggtub
tha maks all't buttons soft.

It's same wi all thi bloomers
tha knows tha's eerd mih say
tha sud change em once a fortneet
nat iv'ry other day.

Ah saw thi bein crafty
an thraw some inta't bin
they'd a lastid thee another year
wi sum new elastic in.

Just lewk at all them frocks an things
tha's hinging up in theah
thi wardrobes full a-mi muthers cloithes
then tha ses tha's nowt to weah.

Ah see tha's getting fancy, an thinks tha's full-a-style
all dolled up in the fancy tights
Tha lewked all-reight in Lyle.
