Station Car Park – Update

Construction of the car park at Steeton & Silsden is complete, and the contractors have demobilised. The next steps are to ensure that the car park can be safely opened to the public.

• Northern Trains Ltd is undertaking car park testing and commissioning.
• Subject to successful testing and commissioning, an Entry Into Service (EIS) meeting will take place on-site to include the contractors, Northern Trains representatives and Network Rail engineers so that the asset can be handed back to the rail industry.

Network Rail will take ownership of the car park and it will be operated and maintained by Northern Trains Ltd under a lease agreement with Network Rail.

Subject to a satisfactory EIS meeting, Northern has advised that the planned opening date of the car park will be Tuesday 25th June 2024.
