Celebrations at Silsden Community Library – on 9th June

First birthday celebrations will be marked at Silsden Community Library this Saturday. (June 9)

Bookstart Bear will be at the library, in Silsden Town Hall, from 10am till noon, and there will be children’s craft activities, chess, jigsaw puzzles and refreshments.

It is one year since the library was re-launched as a community-run facility, with volunteers coming forward to make sure it did not close for good.

Bradford Council ended its staffing of the library at the beginning of April 2017, as part of its cutbacks to try and save money.
