Le ‘Post Tour’ Group

The Silsden le Tour Group met again on Thursday 23rd October at 7.30pm at The Kings Arms to see if people wanted to keep going the work of the group, even though le Tour has been and gone. All 14 people who attended wanted to keep the momentum going.

The meeting discussed ‘brain stormed’ ideas for an event in Summer 2015.

It was suggested we call our event ‘Tour de Cobbydale-Not the Grand Depart’ (only problem with this is that outsiders may not know ‘Cobbydale’ means Silsden). We need a definite theme to inspire people.

Various dates next summer 2015 were discussed including near Bastille Day (14th July), the Grand depart weekend (first weekend in July ) – and it must be at least 3 weeks before the Gala (which is the last Sunday in July) and preferably not in the school holidays. It was suggested that there could be a few events during the week (e.g. Film Night) with most events occurring at the final weekend. The Gala Committee will be informed of this proposal as soon as possible.
