Town Hall Disabled Ramp Approved

At the Keighley Area Planning Meeting today the application by Bradford Council for a disabled ramp to allow wheelchair access into Silsden Town Hall was approved.

Bradford Council admitted the ramp would not meet DDA approval but stated it was the best compromise they could design which would allow the Town Hall to be used by disabled people.

Safety concerns, which were expressed by objectors to the scheme, were brushed aside and the planning application was approved.
